My (Post) Christmas List
Try as you may to have yourself a merry little Christmas – and you still might find your troubles aren’t miles away.
To be honest, some years the holidays aren’t so happy - despite the empty promises in Christmas carols and greeting cards. The guarantee of joy and glee are met only in small doses within the greater context of worry or sadness. Sometimes the empty seats of loved-ones are overfilled with their absence. So you routinely unwrap gifts of material value because gifts of intangible worth aren’t for sale.
Although I’d certainly buy if I could the things that matter most:
1. a package of Healing for my grandparents
2. a gift set of Time Freeze for my great aunt
3. a bottomless trunk of Serenity and Levity for my mother along with a deluxe sample of the ever popular Keep-It-Together
4. a Happy Heart for my father, whose parents are particularly missed at this time of year (when they both passed, years apart, years ago)
5. an unlimited supply of Love and Support for those with personal pain or relationship difficulties
6. a case of Courage for those fighting and beating illness
