What I’m Sipping On In… SEPTEMBER
It’s been a while since the last sip & tell.
Went to an amazing restaurant last night and had to share.
I know Tribeca is off the beaten path for many but I happen to love the down-downtown restaurant scene.
We went to a new spot called Forge. AMAZING.
The sinfully decadent food and drink are perfectly complimented by beautiful exposed brick walls, open air floor to ceiling windows in front, rustic decor and the always-appreciated mood lighting. And you know the mood I’m talking about.
I sipped on a glass of Rose Sangria. It was perfectly and ever-so-slightly sweet. It was light. It was refreshing. It was just enough to take me out of my workweek and into my weekend.
We started the meal sharing wild kampachi tartare and grilled octopus.
I moved on to the marinated diver sea scallops with sweet corn risotto (minus the chorizo salt it’s typically prepared with).
We ended sharing pumpkin creme brule and a milk chocolate brownie served sundae style with cocoa nib ice cream.
HEAVEN.
