What I’m Sipping On In… July 2009
I had about 10 vodka gimlets too many last Thursday… and I think I’m still drunk.
So forgive me any typos.
Isn’t a slight slur so much more fun in the written form – especially when reviewing your texts the next morning.
But back to Thursday.
I drank too much.
And I certainly was n0t the only one.
The bartender (to be renamed Satan on Friday morning) made the best vodka gimlet I’ve ever tasted, using grapefruit-infused vodka and fresh grapefruit.
It was insanely deeeeeeeeeelish.
We couldn’t help ourselves but to order another, and another, and why not one more.
And isn’t it funny how music just sounds better and your dance skills suddenly improve with each round?
Oh, I was seat dancing like a Huxtable at Macao Trading Company.
There was no shame in my game.
We were having a gooooood time down in Tribeca.
And then came Friday morning.
And we were having a baaaaaaad time down for the count.
But we pulled through like rockstars able to embrace the weekend and sip some more.
Because that’s how we do.
